1. Introduction This report will be discussing the issues of homelessness around the world and in Australia. Homeless people are people who are living under rough circumstances due to money issues and other problems in the society, there are 100 million people estimated worldwide who are homeless. Those who are homeless all have a different story as to how they got there, usually having no support from their friends or family leaving them isolated and unwanted. This report will be covering the reasons in which people become homeless people who are most vulnerable to becoming homeless the problems they have to face where homelessness takes place and how many people are homeless. 2. What is Homelessness Homelessness is when someone doesn’t have a permanent conventional safe or secure place to live. Lacking the economic and social support that a home usually provides such as a sense of security, stability, privacy and safety. 2.1 Primary Homelessness Primary homelessness is when people are living without conventional accommodation and are living on the streets without a permanent and secure shelter. These people are people who have nowhere to go therefore they go and seek refuge in places such as improvised dwellings, abandoned or condemned buildings, cars, under bridges, in cardboard boxes, dumpsters, tents, sleeping bags or in public places like parks, vacant lots, shopping centres or public transport.
